熱帶氣旋及暴雨警告下的上課守則

All the above measures and arrangements are the basic guidelines of the center. In case of special circumstances, and taking into account the safety of all personnel in the center, the center will make adjustments based on immediate and actual needs.

  • The centre will remain open as usual and all classes will proceed as normal.

  • Parents and caregivers are required to consider the weather and traffic conditions before deciding whether to attend the class. No make-up classes or refunds will be provided for absent students.

  • If the Education Bureau announces the suspension of primary and kindergarten classes due to a Red or Black Rainstorm Warning, or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, all kindergarten and primary classes on that day will be cancelled, even if the warning signal is subsequently cancelled. No make-up classes or refunds will be provided for cancelled classes.

Severe Weather Emergency Measures

When the Hong Kong Observatory announces a Black Rainstorm Warning or a Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above which will be in force within 2 hours, the following arrangements will apply:

  • Announcement at or before 8:30 a.m.:

    • All classes on that day were cancelled.

    • The center will suspend operations for the day and will reopen without further notice, depending on the environmental conditions after the warning is lifted.

  • Announcement at or before 1:00 p.m.:

    • All classes will be cancelled from 1:00pm.

    • Classes in progress in the morning will continue. Parents and caregivers are advised to arrange for students to return home as soon as possible under safe conditions.

    • The centre will remain open until all morning class students have left.

  • Announcement at or before 3:00 p.m.:

    • All classes will be cancelled from 3:00pm onwards.

    • Ongoing classes will continue and parents and caregivers are advised to arrange for students to return home as soon as possible under safe conditions.

    • The center will remain open until all students have left.

Note: Parents and caregivers should pay close attention to weather forecasts to ensure that students and tutors return home safely.

Severe weather during class

  • Classes in progress will continue.

  • Parents and caregivers should arrange to pick up students as soon as possible and return home as soon as possible when it is safe.

  • The center will remain open until all personnel have safely left.

After the severe weather warning is cancelled

When the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal or Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is cancelled, the following arrangements will apply:

  • Cancellation before 12:00pm:

    • All classes will resume normal hours from 3:00pm.

    • Parents and caregivers are required to consider the weather and traffic conditions before deciding whether to attend the class. No make-up classes or refunds will be provided for absent students.

  • Cancellations before 3:00pm:

    • All classes on that day will remain cancelled.

    • Our centre will resume operations within 2 to 3 hours after the warning is cancelled and make arrangements based on the actual situation.

Remarks: If a warning is issued and cancelled on the same day, all arrangements will be subject to the Severe Weather Emergency Measures.
